Baby is a......

GIRL!!!!!! We think :) So my lovely daughter is stubborn like her Mama! We went for our ultrasound and she was NOT cooperating!!! She had her legs crossed and was not giving up the goods! I even did stomach rolls, jumped up and down, and nothing! Baby Girl did give a few glances where the tech didn't see any boy parts, but not enough for her liking. So the tech had me go to my dr appointment and then come back.

The second scan, Baby Girl, was a bit more cooperative ;) She did spread her legs a bit and the tech could see 3 lines, but not long enough to get a definite picture or a straight on shot. The tech, however, after looking at my expert u/s pictures (haha), said that she'd give 90% that the baby is a GIRL! And I'm going with it!!!!!!!!!!! A daughter on the way, such joy!! Here is a bad camera picture of the profile of baby girl.

We are going back on the 23rd for a verification check ;) Hopefully, she'll be cooperative and if not all pink for the baby boy!!! haha I'm super excited either way!

Summer Fun!

Mr. E is a big kid at heart! He thought since we don't have a pool and the weather has been scorching here that we needed to get a slip n slide! I'm personally not a fan, but he thought Little Lion would like it. I didn't since he's not a fan of water spraying on him. However, being the wonderful wife that I am ;) And Target clearance toy sale started TODAY!! 75%off!!!! I bought him a Slip N Slide.

Boy oh boy was I wrong!! LL loved the "Slippy Slide"! Here he is on his first slide.

Here are my TWO children on the slide :)

I can't forget about my third child :) SHE or he is making their official debut tomorrow via my big ultrasound! I'll keep you posted!! I'm sooooo excited!!!

Boy or Girl???????

Friday is my BIG ultrasound for this little one!!! I'm very excited to hear the news on the gender and of course to see a healthy baby! However, today we went for an impromptu ultrasound. Here is the infamous potty shot. You can see the 2 legs. Look in the middle...is my child going to be scarred that I'm posting this on the internet???:) I have a guess on the gender, but what do you think????
I think in my very expert ultrasound tech opinion :) ........3 lines and no protrusions is a GIRL :) We shall see on Friday for sure!

Gone Fishin'

Now that we are proud owners of a boat, Mr.E feels the need to become a fisherman ;) Which means that Little Lion will be his sidekick! However, they have to practice first. Mr.E's parents live on a lake. So LL and Mr.E have been going over there to fish from the dock. Little Lion has his very own Superman fishing pole with red fish bobber on the end.He has gotten good at casting and reeling it in. Mr.E has also informed me that he has gotten good at peeing over the side of the dock....boys!!!!! (no that's not on the video;)
Mr.E fishes too. He actually caught a fish.....a BIG one! He was so proud of himself:)I am enjoying this new found hobby since it gives me some peace and quiet around the house;o)

My Child Is Gifted!!!

Yes really :) I'm not even saying that because I'm his Mom :) Little Lion didn't talk until he was 3! However, when he started talking, he went from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds! I think he was taking it all in until he had it down. LL has since become obsessed with letters, reading, and spelling. We don't force it on him. He enjoys it.

He started with asking what a word said when we were reading books at bedtime. Then Mr.E, being the proud Dad that he is, thought LL knew how to read when he recited Brown Bear,Brown Bear What Do You See to him. I informed him nicely that LL memorized the book :) But Mr.E said that he was into what he read and continued with the fun (learning). When LL would take a bath, Mr.E would use bath chalk to write words on the bathtub. We started with the important words, his name, mom, and dad. These were also discussed at school. Well LL wanted more and more words. The bathtub became covered with words. When we said the words, we spell it and say it to help with letter recognition. What happened because of it was that LL started reading and spelling these words!!! He's gotten good at spelling and amazes me daily with the words he spells to me!

Yesterday, we were out for a walk and we saw some ducks. LL started talking to the ducks and yelling "Duck, D-U-C-K, talk to me!" haha The biggest word that shocked me was when he spelled Challenger! As in the space shuttle that blew up. LL really likes to watch shuttle launches on Youtube and must have picked up that word! I certainly didn't teach him!!

I thought I needed to document that he can spell because when he is older and has kids, he'll never believe me ;) So here he is spelling for you. You'll have to turn the volume up all the way to hear him.

I love how he self corrects himself when he spelled our last name wrong ;) I had more words, but the video was too big to send to myself from my phone. His list of words he can spell and read are mom, dad, cat, dog, duck, fish, the, at, rat, hat, hot, bat, max, ruby, house, pop, one, two, shuttle, challenger, and a variety of family names. Of course he is 3 and will only spell for you when he is in the mood :) haha My genius or great memorizer!!

Happy Birthday America and Gramps!

The 4th of July is always a big celebration for Mr.E's family because his father (LL's Gramps)has his birthday on the 4th too! This year was no exception! Gramps turned 60!! The family made a weekend of it.

Saturday, we rented a pontoon boat and brought our boat to the St.John's River to drive to Blue Springs.

Our boat was a tad faster than the pontoon, so this was our view for most of the way there.

We got to the Springs and docked the boat. The kids played, Uncle T fished, and we chatted.
After awhile hunger set in and we grilled out. The kids had a blast playing on the playground.
You can't have a party without cake!!!
After stuffing our face, we ventured to the springs. I didn't bring my camera, but should have!! I thought I was going to go swimming in the clear water with the Manatees! Well, I did see a Manatee, but there was no way I was getting into the springs!!! It was 72 degrees!!!!!!!! I can't even get in my parents' pool unless it's 84! Mr.E and LL sat on a raft while the rest of the family braved the cold, and I watched. After an hour, we had to head back to the boats to get back to the marina. Plus the clouds were starting to roll in. Mr.E let me drive my boat back ;)
We were pulled out of the water just as the monsoon started!!!! All of our stuff was soaked! Luckily LL and I were getting the car and didn't get too wet. Unfortunately, the rest of the family wasn't so lucky since they were on the slow pontoon. They were soaked! Oh well, we still had a great day and enjoyed each others company!!

The birthday celebration didn't stop there! Sunday, we went to Crabby Bill's to have dinner and watch the fireworks. LL was in such a cute mood!

The cousins were having so much fun playing with each other and the neighboring tables were understanding :)

Here is the whole family after a delicious seafood dinner!
Time for cake! Now my inlaws can go a little overboard at times. This was one of those cases....60 candles on a small 8 inch cake!!!! It took 4 of them to get them all on and 2 of them to light it! I was worried we were going to start a fire!

Gramps did manage to blow most of them out! The smoke was crazy!! However, 1 package of candles were trick ones and didn't want to go out!! The cake did have a layer of wax on the top, but still good :) A pregnant woman can't say no to cake :)
As we waited for the fireworks, Aunt H brought glow sticks and I brought sparklers.
Just as the fireworks started, the rain did too! Luckily, I brought an umbrella. Mr.E, Leo, cousin J, and I huddle under and watched them! It was a great show and LL loved it! He wanted more, more!!!

I hope you had a safe 4th and enjoyed your family as much as I did!

Cousin Fun!

My niece A is staying with us this week! Little Lion LOVES her!! He enjoys playing with her and all the attention she gives him :) They have been having a blast on the trampoline in the evenings since it's cooler out.
They bounce great together!

We bought some sparklers to get the 4th of July party started :) LL didn't really like them too close.

And in honor of being 16 weeks, here is the baby's first sparkler :)Happy 4th of July!
