HIDE MY WALLET!!!!

So I am in need of a new swim suit for Little Lion's swim lessons that start next week. I can't be that Mom in the itsy bitsy tiny weeny polka dot bikini. I think I need a tankini. Who wants a boob to pop out in class??? Plus I'll use it in Hawaii....see I can justify any purchase.

So I was looking at jcrew.com and found a few that I liked. I know there is a jcrew outlet opening sometime at the I-Drive outlets. So I was googling and found out that it's opening in Spring of 08. Ok so that is too long away...but in my search I found out that they are putting in many other stores of my liking. Here is the list, BUT don't continue if you want to save money ;) Mind you these are all outlets!!

Betsey Johnson
Dooney and Bourke
Juicey Couture
Bath and Body Works
Kate Spade...my favorite!!!!!!!
7 for All Mankind
Stuart Weitzman
Michael Kors ....another Fav!!!!!
JCrew....duh ;)

WOW!!!! Mr.E will have to reign me in come Spring 08!!!!!!!! Orlando is Outlet King!!!!

5 Months Until HAWAII

That's right!  We leave for Kauai on September 22!  We finally have airline tickets that hopefully won't be cancelled.  US Air is NOT our friend!!!!  My parents decided they wanted to go first class since it's a 12-13 hour flight.  Well if they are going first class then we wanted to go first class.....ok by we I mean Mr. E.  It is a bigger expense, but with this lovely tax refund coming, it'll pay for the difference.  Plus Little Lion is still free.  And of course I'm sure we'll get dirty looks having a toddler in first class, but oh well.  There will be 4 of us to keep him entertained and he can lap hop.  I was debating for quite some time on if having him be a lap child or buying him his own seat in coach with us.  So I researched.....www.seatguru.com  The seats in first class are the same size as my recliner chair which the two of us can fit comfortably in side by side.  So I won't feel the need to *have* to hold him the entire time.

Another plus side of flying first class is that we get access to their Executive Room during our lay over.  The layover is 4 hours....free drinks and snacks and comfy chairs sounds like a good idea to me ;)  Oh and did I mention that you get to check TWO bags for FREE.  Yes that is unheard of now a days, but oh so important when flying with a lap child.  This way Little Lion gets his own suitcase.  Can you tell I'm justifying my purchase?  I'm sure it'll be worth it and make the vacation all the more special!

Drum Roll.............The airline of choice is................

Not again.....

So a flashback......

Little Lion was only 1 month old.  He was a horrible sleeper....still isn't great, but better.  After staying up all night long, I finally brought him to bed with Mr. E and I.  Well Little Lion was so wiggly that he whipped his hand up and hit me straight in the eye.  Now usually people have great reflexes, but when you are working on a few hours of sleep, reflexes are out the door.  When it happened I shot out of bed and got a wet wash cloth.  It didn't help.  However, I went to sleep...did I mention I was tired?  Well when I woke up, I couldn't open my eye without having excruciating pain.  So my other eye was watering and making it very hard to see.  I was in enough pain to make a doctor appointment.  I figured Little Lion had scratched my eye.  At the dr. appointment, the doctor didn't find a scratch on my eye but a round, finger sized indent. Little Lion got me good.  So for the next couple of days I had to put ointment in my eye and eye drops.  It took 3 days to even open my eye without pain.  It of course has healed, but still bothers me at times.

Flash forward to last night......

I was laying with Little Lion trying to put him to sleep.....do you see a theme here?....and he was wiggling around.  He clocked me in the eye again....ughhhhh  Luckily he didn't get his little fingers in there.  But it still hurt!!!  Eye drops will be my friend this week.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....I'm not so sure my eye finds the beauty in Little Lion ;o)

This is my child

So I have some weird tendencies ;)  One of which is how coordinated my toes are.  Yes that's right my toes.  Since becoming a mother, I have learned that carrying a heavy baby makes bending over difficult.  Well, I've become skilled at picking things up with my toes.  If I was holding Little Lion and I dropped something or needed to get a toy that Little Lion threw, I would use my toes to pick it up. It helped with my aching back from rocking/holding heavy Little Lion.  I, however, still pick things up with my toes. Call it laziness from bending over...I call it efficiency.

So Mr. E and I went to LL Cool J at Universal on Saturday night.  We saw the Mardi Gras parade and of course got beads.....let me tell you grown men are crazy for beads and I got trampled and no there was no baring of any bosoms.  Anyway, we brought them home for Little Lion.  He had fun playing with them.  Well Little Lion dropped them on the floor.  He proceeded to try to pick them up with ......yes you are right.... his toes :)  Of course he didn't get them, but he was trying.  As the saying goes...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.   Mr. E affectionately calls them my monkey toes and now Little Lion has them too ;)

Here is a picture of Little Lion and his Mardi Gras beads....

I don't give baths!

So I'm not in charge of bathtime at our house.  Mr. E feels that is HIS time with Little Lion.  And how can I resist 20 free minutes to myself???  Well the other night Mr. E was giving Little Lion a bath and I get a shout....Bring the camera quick!!!  I could hear them laughing so I know they are up to no good and probably making a mess.  This is what I found.....

Mr. Bubble makes great wigs ;o)  Little Lion was having a grand ole time splashing the bubbles.  Mr. E thought it was necessary to give our child white hair to match his...haha  Ok I added that part, but it's true even if he won't admit it;o)

DUHHHHHHH

So last night Mr. E was saying something silly, so I replied with DUH.  And wouldn't you know Little Lion repeated back DUH.  Haha   And he even used the correct DUH attitude...with lots of emphasis on the UH.  Since we thought it was funny so did he and has been his word of choice today....DUH

Here's a DUH I'm so handsome photo of Little Lion....
