Day 26, 27, 28 Pool Install...Final Week!

The holiday weekend was a good one!  However, that means I am tired this week and it is Little Lion's last week of PreK.  So we've been busy over here which makes me a bad blogger :)  BUT not too much excitement in pool picture taking has taken place.  I did manage to take a ton of LL and his graduation, but that'll be a later post.

On Tuesday the electrician's finished up.  Again no pictures of wire.  I did take pictures of the Baby Gate being installed.  We do not want Flower Power to fall out!! First he drilled some holes in the pavers and added the super strong nylon barrier.  It holds up to 400lbs!!

Yesterday they installed the alarm on our window that is not protected by the baby gate and cleaned out the disgusting pool.

Today we had inspections and passed :)

Tomorrow if the rain holds off....crossing fingers!!!! We'll get our interior Pebble Tec!!!  And then WATER!!!!!!!!!!!  YIPPEE!!!!!  There will be pictures!!

Day 25 Pool Install...Screen and Electric

The screen guys finished up the screen with the insets and the doors.

After they left the electricians came to hook it all up. I don't have any pictures because well boxes and wires are not very exciting :)

However, this week is going to be a VERY exciting one! We are getting a baby gate, final grading, a final inspection, and then installing the Pebble Tek and BAM water!!!!! Of course it won't be swimable, but soon after :)

Day 24 Pool Install...Screen Surprise!

All I was expecting today was the electrician to come, but to my surprise I came home from dropping LL off at school and the screen guys were here!! I didn't think they'd be here until next week! What a nice surprise!

So I had a playdate with a friend and looked outside a few times. It was pretty unexciting...

Then I ate lunch and looked outside to see this!!!

They worked on the sides next.

They still have to add the door and the hard cut pieces by the stairs but it's pretty close to being finished!! Here it is from the back. It's HUGE!!!

It is real now!! AND in 2 weeks we should be swimming!!!! I can't wait!!!

Day 22 Pool Install....Pavers finished

Here are the final pics of what the pavers look like. I love them! They look so nice with the house color!

Day 21-22 Pool Install...Pavers!!

Yippee!! We have a deck!!! The guys started out the morning stomping down the dirt and leveling it. They even had a fancy pusher downer machine (yup that's it's official name:)

Then they brought the pavers in and started laying them.

They left for the day and came back this morning to finish with all the cuts. I was going to take pictures but when they cut, it looks like this!

They did finish the boarder!

They are putting the sand in next. Hopefully I'll update with some pictures later today!

Day 20 Pool Install Blog....Footers

The footers for the deck were installed. The concrete truck arrived early. The kids love all these trucks coming in and out!!

They poured the footers.

We also got one door pad. The other couldn't be done since they'd ruin it trying to get back into our skinny yard entrance.

Paver guys are here. Yeah for getting a deck. I'll hopefully post pics later today!

Day 19 Pool Install...Pavers Arrived

Well the inspections are passed, but not until late afternoon making the deck footers be postponed until Friday.  However, the Pavers arrived!!!! 

Can't wait to see them down!!!

Day 17-18 Pool Install....Footers

The guys came to start the trenches for the electric late yesterday. They dug the trenches and left before the rain came.

Today they came and started framing where the deck will be. What a transformation! It gives me a real idea of what the pool deck will look like and how much room we'll have....not a lot...one of my regrets in this project is not having enough deck space, but we wanted a big backyard too. Compromises.

They laid the copper wire in the trenches.

And they put the wire in for the concrete footers.

Oh we also had our termite inspection. Tomorrow we have an inspection for electrical. If we pass and the rain tonight doesn't ruin our trenches, they'll pour the concrete tomorrow afternoon or Friday. So here's to a light rain ;)

Mother's Day!

I love Mother's Day:) A day all about me who could ask for more :)

At Little Lion's school they celebrate the Mom's with Muffins with Moms. The kids are always so creative and excited for us to be there.

While we were waiting for the festivities, we read our All About Mom poster.Yes I do look best when I get my hair done :)

We also had a sweet place mat to eat on.

We were given a purse with jewelry in it....Just what every Mom wants!!

For Mother's Day weekend, we had dinner with Mr.E's Mom on Friday and spent Sunday celebrating me and my Mom.

Mr.E and the kids made me a lovely Newspaper.

It was a fantastic day! Wish we could have a Mother's Day once a month:)

Day 16 Pool Install....Tile/Coping Grout

Day 16 was actually Saturday. The tile guys came back and grouted the tile and coping.

Today was an off day. Tomorrow they are starting electrical and then inspections and the decking!! I can't wait to see it!

Day 15 Pool Install....Tile and Coping

The tile guys were back today! They are by far the best tile guys we've ever encountered! Very exact, take their time, and do the job right. They started out the morning working on the steps. He framed it out and tiled it.

While one tile guy was doing the stairs, the other took care of the coping. It arrived by a semi for just a little bit! Then the tile guy did all sorts of fancy angle cutting!!

We went out to dinner for Mr.E's Mom to celebrate Mother's Day and we came home to all the coping done!!

And the waterfall was installed!!! I can't wait to see it on!

Yeah! It's looking more and more gorgeous! About 3 weeks to go!!
