I'M FAMOUS!!!
Ok so I'M not famous, but my kitchen is ;) As you know we are starting our kitchen remodel on Monday....eeekkkkk no sink, diswasher, or stove for a few weeks!! Anyway, the company doing the remodel is Ameritiles. They have just started a blog and are featuring our kitchen remodel! I'm going to be blogging too about it, but I bet it'll be interesting to see it from both points of view of owner and remodeler. Here's the link with some not so lovely pics of the kitchen from a camera phone....I'll have before pics too, but with a clean kitchen and real camera;) LOL

We're Just Splashing in the Rain!
Yesterday and today for that matter have been rainy and dreary! Trying to find things to keep a 2 year occupied inside besides watching tv all day is difficult! Mr. E had the crazy idea to go wash the car in the rain. He figured it'd be easier to rinse it ;) Well it was only sprinkling at the time and Little Lion wanted to go outside too. Where ever Daddy is, LL is sure to follow! So they were outside for about an hour when I went out to check on them. LL was soaked and the car was clean. However, the BOYS were splashing in the puddles! LL loved jumping in them and getting Daddy wet. Here are my boys just a splashing in the rain.

Little Lion's Summer Job
My inlaws have recently left to go to their summer home for the next few months. That means that they *hired* Little Lion to take care of their animals. Little Lion will get paid in curtains :) We are redoing his room in airplanes and I got fabric which Grandma is going to make into curtains while up at the summer house.
You may be wondering what animals would be left behind for a few months. Well they have some stray cats and kittens. Remember me rescuing one when they were in India?? They are still there and have added a few to their bunch. Here are a few and LL watching them eat.
In their backyard, the grandparents have a Koi fish pond. They need food too. LL loves throwing them food, but he tends to get a little carried away and I have to take the food away. We don't want the fish to get fat :)

The reason there is a maze of wire over the pond is because a Blue Huron really likes the fish. So much in fact that he dove and got the Big Kahuna....may he RIP;( So in order to keep him out, they made a barrier. There are about 20 Koi and a few babies were just born. LL enjoys going over there to help take care of them and it doesn't hurt that they have a swingset either :)

Lacking on the Blogging!
Sorry readers! I'm lacking on blogging. I have good reason too! We are in the process of remodeling/decorating our house. It is a long process. I can't believe how hard it is to pick out the perfect and not too expensive items for our home. So I have the pictures of the beginning process and waiting until the finishing to show you all. We are working on Little Lion's big boy room (remember I wasn't prepared to move him) and our kitchen. We have guests coming in September and we want our house to look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Thanks for being patient readers! I promise to show you soon!
Kindness of Strangers
Today Little Lion and I were making our weekly trip to Publix. As I pulling in, a gentleman was walking toward our car to his car. I got out of the car and he stops me and informs that he thought he saw something in my back tire. So I got out and we couldn't see anything. He suggested I move forward a bit. Sure enough there was a HUGE nail in the tread of the tire. I thanked him! It was so nice to meet someone who has the mentality to be kind and helpful to others. Sadly I think it's a dying breed. I will remember this and of course pass it forward ;)
Firestone fixed our problem this afternoon while LL and I hung out at McDonald's play area. We are good to go ;) Remember kindness does make a difference!

Fireworks and Birthday Cakes!
The Fourth of July is a big holiday for us. Not only do we celebrate our Independence we also celebrate Mr.E's dad's birthday. This year we decided to go to Crabby Bill's on the lake in St.Cloud which is where they shoot off the city's firework display.
Gramps blew out all the candles with some help from cousin J.
The fireworks started and we had a perfect view and a nice sound barrier of being in the restaurant. LL is deathly afraid of the sound and if you mention the f word (fireworks) he freaks out. BUT inside he was mesmerized by the lights in the sky!
After the fireworks, we took some family pictures to remember what a *blast* we had that night ;)
We had a great dinner with the family and Little Lion's cousins.

While we waited for dinner the balloon artist came around and make LL a helicopter, a kitty and alligator for the cousins.

Happy Half Birthday Little Lion!!
My BABY is 2.5 today!!!! I can't believe it! It seems like yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital! Time sure does go by fast especially with a little one!! Little Lion started off as a 8lb 3oz, 21 inch bundle of joy to a 30lb, 37inch ball of terror....I mean sunshine of my eye :) He has learned so many skills over the past 2.5 years! My love for him grows daily! I can't wait to see what comes next!!
