This past weekend was all about the Dads! Friday night we drove to Pompano Beach to spend the night with Mr.E's dad. The guys went and played golf while Little Lion and Grandma hung out by the pool. On Sunday, we drove to my parents to spend time with my Dad. And again hit up the pool! LL took swim lessons a few weeks ago and has the kicking and the paddling down, but not the staying afloat part. Mr. E thought he'd teach LL how to use arm floaties to swim. I didn't think LL would even wear them, but lo and behold he did!! We also put on a body float for extra buoyancy. Here's LL getting excited to try out his new skills.Once in the pool, Mr.E had a lot of patience as LL got used to float by himself. In the end LL was a pro and going all around the pool by himself! Of course someone was always nearby just in case.
You can't go to the pool without jumping in...A LOT!!!!
Happy Father's Day Mr. E!!! Little Lion has been blessed with a father who is a wonderful role model and a loving dad!!

Cirque de Soliel WATCH OUT!!!
Last night I got together with my girlfriends. The last time we got together we went pole dancing ;) We are always up for an adventure, so we decided this time we would do Anti-gravity yoga. It's a class where you do yoga while hanging in a silk swing/hammock thing. However, when we arrived we found out that they didn't have our reservation and the teacher had not shown up. Luckily there was another teacher there who was certified in Ariel Silk. We decided to try that. If you don't know what that is check out this picture.Granted we weren't 30 feet off the floor, but we weren't bad for beginners. I am pretty darn proud of my friends and myself! We started off on the floor working on foot wraps.Next we worked on getting off the floor into a simple standing position.
And then we started getting a little fancy with peek a boo poses and boat bows.
Then we worked on arm wraps and flipping over.
I think we learned a lot for an intro class!! Of course we needed the obligatory group picture of us aerialists!! Our fabulous instructor, Bree showed off her skills too.As we were leaving, Bree had knotted up the silk and was hanging upside down. I got the big idea that I could do it too :) Guess what I DID!!!!And this is what it looks like when a professional does it :) Hey it was my first time!!!What a great workout and fun with friends! We are definitely going to do this again!!

A Candy Filled Luau!
One of our good friends turned FORTY this past week. His wonderful wife through him a Luau party. For his gift I thought he needed a gag gift :) I got a little crafty....ok I stole the idea from the internet ;) I made him a Candy Poem. It's a funny poem where you place certain candies for words. Here's the poem in case you'd like to *borrow* it too!
Happy 40th Birthday _________!
Now that you’ve reached 40…..

Do you feel that you’re somewhere TWIX adolescence and the old folks home?
Are you having a midlife crisis and looking for new CARS?
Are you too old to be S_____’s SUGAR DADDY and make SUGAR BABIES?
Don’t worry; we still think you are worth a 100 GRAND!
There are many GOOD&PLENTY years ahead of you!
If you ROLLOver from eating all this candy, remember everyone will still think you are a HOT TAMALE!

BIG BOY BED!!!
AHHHHH!! I was NOT ready for this! Little Lion spent the night with Grandma and Pop Pop at the hotel on Friday night. He got to sleep in the BIG bed with Grandma. Well guess what??? He doesn't want to sleep in his crib anymore!!!
We get home on Saturday and he was having a fit about taking a nap in his crib which he usually doesn't do. I ask him what is wrong and he wants out! Ummm no you still have to take a nap. To our bedroom we go and we nap. I thought it was just a flook. That evening, he wanted nothing to do with his crib. Obviously he can't sleep with Mr. E and I so we put him in his big boy bed in his new bedroom. Now we haven't gotten this room ready for him yet. All that was in their was our old bed and dresser since we got new bedroom furniture. I didn't have rails for the bed and it was too high to not have some protection from falling out. So Mr. E turning the dresser around and we stuffed the edges with pillows and blankets so he couldn't get stuck. He slept all night like such a big boy!!!
Sunday we headed to Babies R Us to buy rails. I actually got a little weepy since my baby is done with the crib and he didn't even give me time to adjust! This means we have a nursery and no baby in it! Guess we'll have to start working on that ;)
We put the bed together and now he is good to go. Now I just need to realize my baby is growing up and decorate the poor boy's room! Here he is napping.....hey I never said he slept the right way in the big boy bed :)
Decorations to the room.....To Be Continued :)
Our 5 year Anniversary!
As you know from the previous post that we celebrated our 5 year anniversary on Friday. We spent the evening at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal....thanks Mom and Dad! Leo too was staying there, but with Grandma and Pop Pop in another room. After checking into the resort we got ready to go eat at their fancy restaurant, Bice. Here we are trying to take a decent picture. Everyone else had already left. So camera timer on the tv stand it is ;)
Dinner was just OK, but the service was good and the view of the harbor was terrific. Mr.E and I enjoyed each others company and appreciated a bottle of wine. After dinner we headed to City Walk to dance. One of my favorite past times pre Mr.E was going out with the girls dancing. So dancing doesn't happen often, and when I get the chance I jump on it ;) We had fun even though Mr. E thinks he dances like a white boy.....well what do you expect :)
The next morning, we headed to their beach pool. It was super! They had a hugh water slide and sand all around the pool area. Little Lion liked it because a huge portion of the pool was only 2 feet deep. Just the right size for him. He loves swimming and playing with his toys in the water!
As the clouds started rolling in, we had to check out. On our way out we took a family picture. Lots of love around!
