A Day of Heat!!!

My 2 lovely nieces are in town. We headed to Universal to check out Harry Potter. Of course the day we pick is the HOTTEST day of the year!!! We started off going straight to HP since we knew it'd be busy....that was an understatement!!! 120 minute wait for the ride!! Luckily we decided on single rider with baby swap...thanks LL and FP :) So it ended up being only 30 mins!!! The ride was amazing, but definitely scary for little ones!! My 13 year old niece was a little scared! Here is Grandma and FP enjoying Hogswart!
Next we headed to Dr.Seussville. We rode the water ride to cool off and played inside for a bit.
We spent the next 5 hours finding a/c for FP and switching off between riding rides. Here is FP in her favorite spot :)
LL doesn't go on too many rides. However, LL enjoyed the a/c arcade. Skee Ball is a favorite!
After walking back to the car, it was HOT so we chilled out in the a/c. FP thought she should drive :)
So the day was enjoyable, but super HOT! Did I mention that???? I'm glad we got to see the HP part of IOA, but I won't be waiting in line in the heat anytime soon!!

Operation: A Silly Skill Game

Little Lion LOVES the TV show Family Game Night on the Hub. I must say I enjoy it as well! It's a game show where 2 families compete against each other doing Hasbro games with an interactive twist. For example, they play Bouncin' Boogie Boggle where they play Boggle, but have to jump on the letters to spell the word. Another is Yahtzee Bowling which is bowling, but the pins have 6 sides with numbers.

Little Lion had his friend H over and they wanted to play Operation: A Silly Skill Game. On the show, they us a big version of the Operation guy Sam. The contestants have to use thongs to get out the pieces without touching the edges or his nose buzzes. Then the run on a balance beam, jump hurdles, and go through the tissue box. Here is our version of the fun with things around the house;o)

My fantastic friend Dena at Everyday Moments took Flower Power's 6 month pics. She did an incredible job as always!! We took some pictures at her *studio* better known as her house ;)





And the next day we headed out to our local park for some more adorable pics!

When Mr.E is Away, The Kids Will Play

Mr.E is on a business trip all week, like I stated in the last blog. So that means I've been a bad picture taker with the camera. I have taken a few pics from my phone. Here is an idea of our week so far.

Basketball Baby

Daddy is gone for the week for work. That means Mommy has to come up with some creative ideas to keep us occupied all day long. When I don't, Little Lion comes up with ideas. Here is his idea of fun. Good thing Flower Power agrees! Make sure you turn it up loud to hear all the giggles :)

Beach Vacation Part 3 Family Time

On our short vacation, we enjoyed our family time together and relaxing.
We went to the pier where there was a lot of outdoor activities going on with bands and festivals. We walked the fishing pier. As we were walking, the beach was gorgeous with all the colorful umbrellas. The water was blue. And fun was had!


We even took a family nap!
Our final evening, we had a nice dinner and fun on the beach.






I can't for our family of 4 to go on more vacations and make many great memories together!

Beach Vacation Part 2 Sand Castle

Our day at the beach means jumping waves and playing in the sand.

Happy AnNiversary!

Today is Mr.E and my 7th Anniversary! 6-5-04 so he couldn't forget :) Last night we celebrated early by going to a movie with no kids and to dinner with no kids!! We went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for dinner which is definitely an upper scale restaurant. It was yummy!! They even gave us a free dessert for our anniversary. Notice anything wrong??? I guess that's what we get for a FREE dessert at an expensive restaurant :)
Hahaha! I'm glad we got to spend some quality time together on our AnNiversary :) No 7 year itch for us!!

Ft.Lauderdale Beach Vacation!

Over Memorial weekend, we decided to take a mini vacation to the beach down in Ft.Lauderdale. We stayed at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. We stayed in a suite with 2 king beds and oceanfront view to die for!



Flower Power was extremely excited to be on her first vacation!
Brother too was having a good time and we hadn't even left the room yet :)
The resort had a lazy river and pool. Little Lion enjoyed being pushed around by the current. He didn't even use the raft, just his floaties...silly kid!
After checking out the lazy river and pool, we headed to the ocean! Flower Power and I enjoyed soaking up the shade under the umbrella and dipping our toes in the sand.

We all had fun in the sun!
