Halloween Parade!
Woot 2 blog posts in one day ;)
Today at Little Lion's school was their Halloween Parade and party! Finding a costume for LL has been challenging for a few reasons. First it's 850 degrees still here!! So the majority of costumes are too warm to be wearing walking around the church/pumpkin patch. Second, my child is very picky on what he wears. He's a tshirt/shorts kind of boy so trying to put on a dragon hat with a dragon tail was out of the question. My mom found him a cute Harley Davidson biker tshirt with vest. The shirt had skin colored sleeves with tattoos all over them. He could wear shorts and it was easy for his teacher to change him into regular clothes. Here is my cool dude before school today.
And you can't be a biker dude without a tough guy shot :) Here is LL's class during the parade. LL is the slow poke and had his bag ready in case anyone had candy :)
He had a great time at the party. They decorated cookies, made pumpkin pudding, and decorated pumpkin jars. I love that he loves preschool!! Happy Halloween!

Fall Fest and Pumpkin Carving
Yes I've been a slacker blogger!! We've been so busy this month with me working at LL's preschool and community events. Last Saturday was LL's Fall Fest at school. It was so hot out that Mr. E and LL didn't stay long. I did however, since I was working a booth. Mr. E decided he didn't want to waste the beautiful day. So they went to Moss Park which is very shady. LL and Daddy had a nature walk. They first headed to the lake to watch the jet skis, boats and kids jumping in the water.
Then they went walking under the shady trees.
Some friends decided to visit. LL was amazed by them for a bit before he chased them away ;)
That evening we did our annual family pumpkin carving evening. Little Lion was ready to carve....or supervise :)Mr. E carved a skull and I carved a trick or treating monster. Here are our spooky masterpieces.
And lit up jack o'lanterns.
Unfortunately all of our hard work most likely won't last until Saturday. They are already starting to cave in. BUT the roasted pumpkin seeds are still delicious ;)

Pumpkin Patch
Little Lion is really into pumpkins this year! It does help that his school has a pumpkin patch. Last week his class went out to the patch and listened to stories and got to pick out a pumpkin to keep. LL was very excited when he got home. He wanted to introduce his pumpkin to the the light up pumpkins in the front yard.
So today we thought we'd go pick out some to carve and take pictures. We had intended to go with some friends and cousins, but everyone was feeling sick so it was just us. Little Lion wore his new favorite skull shirt that he wanted to make sure you saw it in the second picture :)
However, when we arrived there was a mom's group there. So we got to listen to stories and play with the other kids. Notice LL is running around after the kids which makes it very difficult to get good pictures!!
He finally decided on a pumpkin and it was rotten. Look at his face! It was a squishy pumpkin...ewwww!And my favorite of the day...WHO YOU SMILING AT MISTER???

Spooooooky House
Mr.E loves to decorate for Halloween! Every year our decor gets scarier and larger. This year we added spooky pumpkins and a scary black cat.
Last year we had a *real* graveyard with dirt because our sod had died. This year however, we had to improvise. We added a few more dead bodies, and Mr.E has decided to stop mowing the grass in the graveyard (convenient huh?) We also taped it off for a mischievous effect and to keep the kids out.
And you can't forget the oldies, but goodies...Scary Snake and Marcus the Carcus!
Only 12 days until Halloween! Hope you are enjoying the season as much as we are here!

Halloween Spooktacular!
Today we went to SeaWorld to trick or treat with Shamu and friends! Besides the fact that it was HOT (109 when we got to the car...ugh It's October!), we had a blast!! We just realized that the new roller coaster Manta has an aquarium beneath the ride. It was really cool. You could stand in a room that was all glass and the stingrays were swimming all around you. It also had beautiful fish tanks. You could even get your picture in one....don't mind the silly face. I just hit my head on the top of the glass. I guess it's made for kids not adults ;)(All pics are from the iphone, sorry for not great quality)Then we hit the usual penguins, sharks, and horses before the Spooktacular event! SeaWorld had many sea creatures out and about as well as trick or treating stations.Leo really liked the pumpkin fish! He was NOT happy getting his picture taken with mom!Because he wanted to do it himself! We got 2 bag full of candy. They had a variety of treats....nerds, gummy creatures, suckers, cool markers, pretzels, and even bananas! Here we are at a station. I was shocked that LL wasn't scared of the sea creatures. Most of them were fish or mermaids, but we did find some bugs.Another hit of the day was the bubble stops! We were hot and tired after going through the Halloween madness. So naps for all of us. Our day didn't end here, we went to dinner at Chilli's. On the way there LL decided he was a cool dude!So cool he even wanted you to know it ;)Then we headed over to the grandparents where LL's cousins J and M were there, but J was asleep. So LL and M were lounging around after playing hard! What a nice family day we had! I think we'll have to hit up SeaWorld one more time before Halloween for some more fun!

Visitor
I came home Friday evening with Little Leo. When I got out of the car, I noticed we had a visitor over.I expected him to fly away when we got out of the car, but he didn't. I ran in to tell Mr.E to bring us some bread. Mr.E and LL fed our guest. He flew away a bit later, but LL enjoyed the visit with our guest. We'll have to go visit him and his friends at our neighborhood pond soon!
