Baby Hostess with the Mostess

My really good friend Teresa is having a baby next month! Since she is one of my dearest and most wonderful friends, another girlfriend and I threw her a baby shower. We've known Teresa since college and we are in the same sorority together...go AXO! Teresa even introduced me to Mr.E on a drunken night when we lived together. Since Teresa has been with me through all the good times and a few bad, she deserved a fantastic shower!! So I decided to get my craft on! I made a banner with baby's name on it. Ok Dena embroidered the letters, but I sewed the rest! One of the easier, but made a big impression crafts was the door initial diaper wreath. It cost a whole $7 to make!!
The theme of the baby shower was Childrens Books. We named all the menu items off of books.

The cookie favors were super cute made by one of the teachers from LL's school.
For dessert, I made from scratch! red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla cupcakes with homemade cream cheese frosting!
The party was a success and everyone raved about all the hard work we put in to make the shower special! I can't wait to meet Little Wesley and I know Teresa is ready too!! :)

Boy or Girl???????

Friday is my BIG ultrasound for this little one!!! I'm very excited to hear the news on the gender and of course to see a healthy baby! However, today we went for an impromptu ultrasound. Here is the infamous potty shot. You can see the 2 legs. Look in the middle...is my child going to be scarred that I'm posting this on the internet???:) I have a guess on the gender, but what do you think????
I think in my very expert ultrasound tech opinion :) ........3 lines and no protrusions is a GIRL :) We shall see on Friday for sure!

An Early Christmas Present!

The time has come for a BIG announcement!!!! Little Lion will be a big brother in December!!!!! I'm almost 13 weeks and anxious to get to the honeymoon 2nd trimester as I'm still feeling nauseous and blah which is no fun with a 3 year old!! We went for our NT Scan today which showed a perfect little bundle of joy that was moving all over! So much in fact that he/she didn't want to cooperate with the tech to get a good picture of the neck fold. I had to keep moving from one side to the other to try and get he/she to the correct position. The tech finally got a good picture. Here he/she is ;)
I tried really hard to get the tech to take a look at the gender, but she was ADAMANT to not look because it was too early. However, I know about the angle of the dangle and I wanted to see. Oh Well. My big ultrasound will be July 30th!! I don't know if I can wait that long!!

Now I need to think of a good blog name for he/she...hmmmm....Cubby, Littlest Lion, Lioness in training :) I guess maybe I'll need to wait to find out the gender. Yippee for new additions to the family!!!

Babies, Babies, Babies

The last of my pregnant friends...for now.... had her baby on the 15th.  We didn't get to see the little bundle until today because of our sickness which we are over thank goodness.  Meet C and T's baby boy Chase!

Mom did a fantastic job....he was 9lbs 8 ozs!!!!!!  He is a cutie and very stylish (we bought him that outfit)!  Does it give me baby fever????  YUP!  His big brother C, one of LL's BFFs is adjusting well.  I like the brotherly love ;)

Babies, Babies, and a Lucky Mom ;)

Well what was three went to two went to one.  Remember my birthday party in August with the 3 pregnant ladies, and then R popped a beautiful baby boy.  Well my friend and blogger buddy T had her gorgeous daughter 3.5 weeks early!!!!!  Lucky girl!!!

Little Isa was so sweet and tiny, but healthy:)  Mom was looking great!  She was concerned she wouldn't look as good as we did when we had babies ;)  I think every Mom has a happy glow after giving birth.  The pure happiness does wonder to the skin!  Her Husband S was already a pro at getting Little Isa into a burrito and calming her down.  Look how proud he is ;)  You know what they say A Little Girl Always Loves her Daddy the Most ;)

My group of teacher friends, better known as the Yayas, were there.  So of course we needed a group shot.  And I definitely needed to hold Little Isa and all her sweetness!  
Do I have baby fever??????  Can I guarantee the baby to be a girl and deliver a healthy baby early????  If yes, then sign me up!!!

Babies, Babies, Babies

Well the start of the babies has begun!  I had 3 friends pregnant...now only 2 ;)

My friend R and her hubby J had a beautiful bouncing baby boy Little J Friday evening.  My friend S and I went to visit on Saturday at the hospital.  He was soooo sweet and precious!  It ALMOST makes me want another one!  R and baby were doing well.  I know R and J will make great parents!  I can't wait for Little Lion to play with Little J!!!  Here are some cute baby pics that I stole from S's facebook ;)

On other baby news, C and T found out today they are having BOY number 2! Yeah for our baseball team we are starting ;) 

And not to make my blogger friend T feel left out. She is having a GIRL who will have numerous boys to choose from!!! She is the next to go over turkey week :) Yeah for babies!!!
