Let's Have a Little Fun Today...Hey Heyyyyy

As you saw from my previous spoiler blog post, Ellen DeGeneres was in town at Universal. A few months back, I had some great timing, and I was fortunate enough to get tickets to The Ellen Show for her Spring Break show. I got super excited when we went to Mardi Gras at Universal Studios and saw the crew setting up the stage for the show and the stage where the concert takes place which is behind where we were sitting.

It was a Hot Set especially with 2 HOT chicks!

I must say the Ellen staff was phenomenal. Why you ask? Because they let me Breastfeed! Yup that's right! Our check in was at 12:00 and the taping didn't start until 3:00. As you know my issues with Flower Power NOT taking a bottle, I knew 8 hours away would not be a fun day for Mr.E or her. So we decided to take her along to feed her before check in and hopefully between check in and taping. Our first nicety was the security letting Mr.E and her in past the ticket gates, so I could feed her first. Once we got in, I asked Ellen's staff member Kate if I'd be able to leave the ticketed area to go feed FP. She said she wasn't sure, but would find out. I assumed she wouldn't and I'd have to hunt someone down after check in. Well Kate actually found me in the crowd later!!! And said it would be no problem. I'd just have to go through the metal detectors again....no big deal:) So Dena and I went in and had lunch. Yummy! That's what happens when you leave at 10:30 and have no time for real food ;)
I go to leave to breastfeed FP and the Universal security say NOOOO way! What my poor baby needs to eat and Ellen people said I could!!! So I go find 2 other Ellen staff since I couldn't find Kate. They were extremely nice and funny and said no problem :) I was so happy with their courtesy and friendliness that I even sent Ellen an email comment...wonder if I'll hear back ;) After getting back we headed into the taping. Dena had on a bright orange cute dress ( I think I was pretty cute too) and it ended up getting us the aisle seats on the very top row of the nice wooden chairs.
The taping was exactly like you see on TV (which will air on Wednesday, April 6). Eric Stonestreet from Modern Family and Kelly Clarkson were the guests. During the commercials there were dance offs and tshirt give a-ways. Here is Jeannie from the show.
When Ellen did her dancing she came right by us and danced for a bit! Hopefully it'll make it on TV! If it doesn't it's because the the camera was right behind us and it might be in the shot. I can't wait to see if it is on tv! For the Kelly Clarkson concert since the stage was behind us, we watched it on the big screen.
After Ellen went to talk with Kelly on stage, she came back through with Portia to our stage. Here they are and how close we were to them :)
Dena and I had a great time even if it was 800 degrees out! It'll be even better if we make it on TV :)

Wipeout!

Little Lion's FAVORITE TV show is Wipeout! Its a game show where contestants face obstacles and most likely will wipeout while doing them. He loves the big balls! It's where the contestant has to jump from ball to ball to get to the other side.
LL enjoys reenacting this fun game on his trampoline. I take sidewalk chalk and draw 4 circles which he jumps onto. On this morning he's still wearing his jammies(yes I'm that mom that lets him play outside in the fenced in backyard in PJ's) and his cheese hat or as LL calls it his cheese helmet.

Sometimes he makes it across and sometimes he WIPESOUT!!! All on purpose of course.
Mommy has to play too....in her jammies;o) I suggest watching the show! It's crazy to see these poor contestants crashing and wipingout all for $50,000.

My Newest Obession

As most of you know, Sunday night TV is BORING!!  Mr. E loves the HD Food Network!!!  He was watching tv and I was playing with Little Lion.  The show Ace of Cakes came on.  This is a show about a Pastry Chef who started his own Cake Shop.  Chef Duff and his staff make wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and most of all UNIQUE cakes.  These cake makers are AMAZING!!  They made a hockey rink wedding cake with a edible Zamboni machine!  It even had plexiglass around the rink.  They also showed a 40th birthday cake that was in the shape of a beaver.  It was really life like.  Another fantastic cake was the Baltimore skyline cake.  It was a 5 tier wedding cake with all the famous buildings in Baltimore hand painted on fondant circling each tier.  After watching 3 episodes....yes it's that addicting, poor Little Lion...I was ready to order a cake.  Then I realized that I have no reason for a cake and they're in Baltimore.  Here is Charm City Cakes website. Check out their extraordinary cakes!!!!  I am putting it on my tivo season pass!!
