Fun Run!

Little Lion's school had their annual FUNdraiser. They had a Fun Run which is where the kids got pledges to run laps. They run between 25-35 laps which is a little over 2 miles. Before the start the class got into their Fun Run tshirts.
The kids ran through the tunnel and got ready for the laps. As they made a lap the kids would get their shirt marked off to show how many laps they did. Here is LL at the beginning of the run.
LL ran all 35 laps!!!
After the class enjoyed some popsicles. Yes my stud muffin with the girls:)
The school raised over $30,000 for the teachers and technology!!

Kindermusic

The Plague has hit our house as you saw from the previous post! Little Lion shared those germs and we've been fighting it ever since! Hopefully this weekend will be the last of it because I'm over being sick and dealing with sick people!!

Ok onto more exciting things :) Kindermusic!! Flower Power is not quite old enough for school. So I decided to enroll her to Kindermusic. I did Kindermusic with LL too, but this class and especially the teacher blow that experience out of the water. Their teacher Mrs. Katrina is phenomenal! She sings, she dances, and she plays the guitar!! A perfect teacher! Here is FP sitting nicely while listening to story time.
Their theme this fall is The House. So they are learning about tools, household items, cooking, and cleaning:) They use props and music to play learn.
FP looks forward to it every week. Little Lion even looks forward to it because after class. FP and I go have lunch with him at school!
I'm so happy both kids love Thursdays!

Cute and Sad, but not together

Poor Little Lion, the "Kindergarten Cooties" has taken it's toll on him. He has had a fever the past 2 days. We've been doing baths, drugs, and this

While LL is snoozing and feeling yucky. I'm trying to keep Flower Power out of the way (and germs). So we've been playing with Youtube. She is very proficient with the mouse and navigating what she wants to watch. Not bad for a 21 month old!! She also has started *singing* and acting out the motions to songs. Here's my cutie in action with 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!! Hopefully LL won't share and we'll all be 100% in a few days!!!

Instagram Fun

I've been having fun on Instagram with lots of kiddo pictures. I thought I'd share with you. If you aren't on Instagram, GO and start following me Robju!!

I can put Flower Power's hair in a french braid.  And it stays for about a minute before falling out since it's so thin and fine.  I try!!!
Little Lion was boycotting his bed.  So he made himself a cocoon at the door.  Silly boy!
This is what happens when you eat a blue sucker!  FP was enthralled with her tongue and took lots of pictures of herself on the ipad!
My little girl is becoming a DIVA!!  This is what she insisted she wear out to Target one evening.  We got a lot of comments!
Gotta be prepared for the hurricane!  Or it's just cuz it's fun to wear goggles while eating dinner:)
My first attempt at making homemade *healthy* donuts....they were baked not fried :)  They tasted pretty good!  I'm excited to try some other flavors...pumpkin, chocolate, cinnamon sugar!!!
My mom bought herself a hairpiece to make her luscious locks thicker.  However, FP thought she needed thicker hair too.  Oh and a princess crown :) Remember the pics above....thin hair and diva attitude!
Hope you all had a great 3 day weekend!!  Back to the grind!!!

Legoland Florida

On Saturday, we got to finally checkout Legoland! We had free tickets thanks to Orlando City Soccer. If you went to certain games, you were able to use that ticket to get into Legoland for FREE since they are a OSC sponsor.
The first stop was the double decker merry go round! We were on the top!
While LL and Mr.E hit up some rides, FP and I played on the playground and wrestled some scary wolves!
LL and Mr.E went for a boat ride. FP is an inch too short for this:( She was mad!! We had to watch from the sidelines.
And when you are sad and mad, you get thrown to the blocks!
After a quick lunch we headed to the waterpark. I didn't take any pictures since iphones and water don't mix well. However, we had a blast! The kids both liked the small water slides and LL even went down a bigger kid slide! We liked the wave pool and lazy river! Plus the water was warm!!! I love warm water!!! On our way back to the car we stopped at Miniland. It's amazing the buildings made from legos!! Here was LL's favorite...Kennedy Space Center!
Legoland is the perfect park for the 4-9 year old range! The rides are fun and not scary. The wait is not long to get on them. And they have the waterpark area to cool off. We'll be heading back again soon...again thanks to Orlando City Soccer :)

The Kissing Hand

WARNING, THIS POST IS FULL OF TEARS!!

Yesterday the 2nd day of school, I cried!  Why, you ask?? We rode our bike to school and then just let him go.....BY HIMSELF!! He walked right into school like a big boy and away he went.  The first day we walked him to class.  So I knew he was there and happy and taken care of by Mrs.P.  Today, he did it himself...A KINDERGARTENER, my Kindergartener!  Pass the tissues!

Tonight, while putting LL to bed, I reminded him that I cry when he leaves for school because I miss him and love him.  He tells me I don't have to cry anymore.  I don't?? I ask him. He says, "Yes, here I'll show you!" He gets out of bed (which I think is a ploy at staying up later because what could he show me that could possibly make me not miss him while at school.)  He takes me to the refrigerator and points to this.
The first day of school, his class read the story of The Kissing Hand. It's about a young raccoon named Chester. Chester is sad and afraid to go to school. Mrs. Raccoon comforts Chester by showing him the secret of the kissing hand. Chester's Mom takes her son’s paw and kisses it, filling him with warm fuzzies. She explains, "Now whenever you feel lonely and need a little loving from home, just press your hand to your cheek and think, ‘Mommy loves you. Mommy loves you.

So Leo wanted me to know that his *I Love You* handprint is there to comfort me when I feel sad and lonely. Just like when Chester was sad and lonely at school. AWWW Love that boy! He definitely got lots of kisses and love yous back in bed!!!
