After Halloween Jackpot!

I had my 34 week doctor appointment today for Flower Power. It was very uneventful except for an extra pound gained which I'm blaming Halloween candy on:) Since the appt was quick, I decided to check out Target for Halloween Candy (for Mr.E's ladies at work, NOT FP :) I assumed it'd be 75% off. However, they only had a few bags of suckers left, but the rest of their Halloween stuff was 90% off!!! SCORE!! Then I went to CVS to look for candy as well. They had marked their stuff 90% off as well!!! Even more of a score!!!! Here is my loot.
FOR $13!!!!

I bought 9 sets of orange lights, 2 spider webs, 2 bags of caramel apple suckers, 1 big bag of twix assorted candy, 2 light up pumpkin spinners, 1 light up skull light set, a sword, a princess wand/tiara, microphone, hockey mask, devil horns, 3 bones rings, bubbles, skeleton wind up jumper, bag of rings, bag of red fangs, fake eyelashes, black lipstick, 2 boxes of halloween tattoos, 2 pumpkin cookies, a set of dessert bone plates, window clings, a light up pirate skull, a light up skull, and 2 containers of fake blood!

So I saved $117 :) LOVE DEALS!!!!

St.Jude's Trike a Thon

Every school year, Little Lion's school does the St.Jude's Trike a Thon fund raiser. Last year, LL enjoyed me pushing him around on his trike. This year, he participated a bit more with his own little twist. Here is LL coming out with his class. Notice it's cold here in sunny Florida!!! Pants and long sleeves!!
He happily got on his bike AND put on his helmet!Off he went!
For ONE lap!!!! LL decided to run laps instead. I think we have a Marathon runner on our hands!
LL was too funny! Along the way, he would run along side all of "girlfriends" and chat with them :) He was such an encourager and enjoyed the fresh air all for a good cause! I love this boy!!

Every Baby Is Celebrated!

Since this is my second baby, I wasn't planning on having a shower for Flower Power. However, a couple of my Mommy friends, D and L, informed me that "All Babies Are Celebrated!"Here I am looking a little tired and a lot pregnant at 32 weeks.Dear friend, L, was kind enough to open up her home to celebrate FP's arrival and made all of the food! D, the crafty lady that she is, made all the decorations and took all of the photos I'm sharing today! Plus she is even fancy enough to put them in a collage :)

When ladies get together there is a lot of chatting, laughing, eating, and celebrating the new little lady. And you can't go to a shower without a little spoiling!

I'm grateful for the wonderful people in my life who helped celebrate!
This great friend made the delicious cookies pictured above from her business, Cookie Cutter Creations
And you can't go to a shower without playing games. D made super cute favor/game clothespin babies for everyone. (Tutorial on her blog) I being the competitive person that I am :) WON!!That evening, Mr.E, was nesting and put up FP's newest accessories to her underwater mermaid nursery. My great hostesses made for her. They have such talent!!!
I am so grateful to have wonderful, caring people in my life! I couldn't have asked for a better shower and appreciated all the hard work and love they put into it!! I feel truly blessed! Thank you friends and family!!!

Halloween Wrap Up

We had such a blast yesterday! Our day started off in search of pumpkins!! Can you believe waiting until the last minute means you can't find good pumpkins??? We went to Walmart and they were sold out. We went to Home Depot and they only had smallish ones, but half price :) We ended up getting those to not waste more time driving around. Our 4 beauties and Mr.Bones.Mr.E and I did most of the carving since Little Lion took a snooze to be ready for the trick or treating festivities. We carved Bones and an Eye. Our fancy pumpkin was Mario, but unfortunately we ran out of time to carve Luigi.
We added them to our spooky house. They looked great lit up!
For trick or treating and the reason behind our pumpkins. Mr.E and LL were Mario and Luigi :) Flower Power even got to be a pumpkin!
My parents were kind enough to come over to hand out candy while we went ToTing with friends.
We even had fancy neighbors that set up an outdoor movie theater with popcorn!
Such a great night! Everyone was exhausted! Now we need to start thinking about FLOWER POWER joining our family :)

Halloween Parade

This is the first year that LL has actually gotten into Halloween costumes and what he was going to be. At first he couldn't make up his mind. It was Hulk, School Glue, a Ghost, a Crying Pumpkin, and finally he decided on Mario from Super Mario Brothers. Mr. E wanted to buy the costume, but I thought hey this is an easy costume to make! A red shirt (got it), jean overalls (borrowed it), and a red hat (took a free one from the Home Depot paint department and spray painted it) and added the white M.

Sounds good doesn't it. Well the day of LL's school Halloween Parade, he DOESN'T want to wear any of it!!!!!!!!!!! After tears from all parties involved (yes pregnancy hormones are in full force), LL just wore a red shirt and jean shorts. He wouldn't even wear the hat for me. However, when his class came out. He did have the hat on. At least he kind of looked like Mario.
Here is his class and teacher when they first came out.
A close up of Mario. Can you tell he still didn't really want to wear his costume??
They then walked through the pumpkin patch. However, the M blew off in the wind. There goes the costume all together. (Really I tried!)
Here's LL realizing that his M is gone. LL and his friend C were really upset it was gone. But no fear, Mommy found the M in the parking lot and I'll hot glue it on for trick or treating ;)
Hopefully on Halloween, LL will want to wear his full costume and give me some better pictures of his cuteness!

After school, LL's friend C came over. The boys started their own band...The Mario Buzz Band!! Good name, huh???
